Camp-Based Mentoring

For Caseworkers, Families, and Agencies

For those seeking outdoor mentoring experiences, our Camp-Based Mentoring program offers a safe and meaningful way for young people to connect, learn, and grow. Camps are designed to be flexible — whether for one child needing focused support or a small group looking to share the experience together.

Why We Camp Together

At 2Kaizen, we’ve found that real growth happens outdoors — around fires, beneath open skies, and through shared experience.

Some young people benefit most from one-on-one time with a mentor, where the focus is gentle and personal.

Others thrive when joined by a friend or two — the laughter, teamwork, and camaraderie often bring out the best in everyone.

Our pricing reflects that balance, keeping camps affordable while encouraging small, meaningful groups where connection can grow naturally.

Quick Pricing Snapshot

• 1 child (1:1): $300 base + campsite + food + fuel

• 2 children (1:2): $300 + $200 base + campsite + food + fuel

• 3 children (1:3): $300 + $200 + $200 base + campsite + food + fuel

• Campground (Northern Rivers): ~ $70 per night (average site fee)

• Food: ~ $25–30 per person, per day

• Fuel: $0.88 per kilometre

Camps are kept small for safety, depth, and genuine connection.

Why Small Groups Work Well

When young people share a camp, they naturally learn teamwork, patience, and care for one another.

They help set up tents, share meals, and find belonging in simple moments — the kind that stay with them long after they return home.

These experiences are what make our camps memorable, and why shared learning often leads to the greatest growth.

If there are more participants, we can expand safely by bringing in another mentor and forming a second small group — ensuring the same 3:1 ratio and quality of care across the experience.

One-on-One Camp Example (1 Night and 2 Nights)

For some children, a one-on-one camp offers the focused support and calm needed to rebuild confidence and connection. These experiences are more intensive and personalised, ideal for children needing extra guidance or space away from group dynamics.

1 Night — 1 Child
Mentoring base: $300
Campsite: $70
Food: ~$30 (1 × $30)
Fuel: 150 km × $0.88 = $132
Approx. total: $532

2 Night — 1 Child
Mentoring base: $500

Campsite: $140 (2 × $70)

Food: ~$60 (2 × $30)

Fuel: 150 km × $0.88 = $132

Approx. total: $832

This option provides individual attention and safety, with mentoring time spread across 48 hours of continuous presence and care.
